Advanced Connector Setup

Create Microsoft Application ID and Client Secret

  1. Open Microsoft Entra admin center and sign in as a user allowed to create app registrations.
  2. Go to Entra ID, then App registrations, then New registration.
  3. Name the app VoIPTele Archive and choose Single tenant unless you need multiple Microsoft tenants.
  4. From the app Overview page, copy Directory (tenant) ID or use your tenant domain, such as yourtenant.onmicrosoft.com, in Microsoft Directory above. Do not use common for a single-tenant app.
  5. After registering, copy Application (client) ID into Microsoft Application ID below.
  6. Open Authentication, select Add a platform, choose Web, paste the Redirect URI shown above, then save.
  7. Open Certificates & secrets, then Client secrets, then New client secret.
  8. Add a description, choose an expiry, click Add, then copy the secret Value immediately. Microsoft only shows it once.
  9. In API permissions, add Microsoft Graph delegated permissions for User.Read, Files.ReadWrite, Files.ReadWrite.All, and Sites.Read.All, then grant admin consent if your tenant requires it.
  10. Save this page, then click Connect and approve access with a Microsoft 365 admin account.

If you prefer to use common or organizations as the Microsoft Directory, change the app registration Supported account types to multi-tenant first. Microsoft recommends certificates for production apps, but this connector supports client secrets for a simpler Microsoft 365 setup.
